Rename the file to myt-hornetq-jms.xml and see if that helps.
Hi. Thanks for replying. Unfortunately making the change you suggested makes no difference.
I just enabled the admin console and took a look in there. I can see the topic, it has a status of "available". It has a trait:
JNDI Binding: topic/MyTopic
so it looks like my lookup should be successful?
Some of the lookups that are failing are from a standalone app on the same machine - could there be a barrier to that that I am not aware of?
In case it is relevant information - in deploy/hornetq/hornetq-configuration.xml, I have entered this (having read a blog post elsewhere):
