jamezp Apr 12, 2013 4:58 PM (in response to javacoryd)Yes you just need to exclude the server version of log4j in a jboss-deployment-structure.xml.
If you don't use any special log4j appenders you can configure this with the logging subsystem. In fact in EAP 6.1.Alpha1 you can actually use log4j appenders as custom handlers.

We are using commons logger ( org.apache.commons.logging ) so I added the below configuration to my jboss-deployment-structure.xml file and everything works.
<exclusions>
<module name="org.slf4j"/>
<module name="org.apache.log4j" />
<module name="org.apache.commons.logging" />
</exclusions>
