What is the difference between RequestDispatcher and MessageBus?

Hi all,

AFAICT, one can either use RequestDispatcher or MessageBus to send a message. Neither makes any mention of the other. Neither is deprecated. What is the difference? Should I prefer one over the other? The documentation seems to prefer using RequestDispatcher.

The RequestDispatcher is an abstraction that permits messages to be delivered according to custom strategies. For instance, the server side has a SimpleDispatcher and an AsyncDispatcher implementation (the former being synchronous). Using the SimpleDispatcher is basically the same as doing direct delivery into the bus.
