CMP- table already exists

Hi
When i deploy my CMP entity bean called Department.
it shows :[org.jboss.ejb.plugins.jaws.jdbc.JDBCInitCommand] Table 'Department' already exists

And when i try to use the bean it throws EJBException with the message 'couldnot instantiate bean..'

can any one tell me where i have gone wrong.plz

Have you tried deleting the table so that it can be recreated in case there are any problems with the current table?
