Can javax.servlet.Filter implementations be used with the OSGI HttpService in 7.2.0.Final

We are trying to use filters with a OSGi WAB deployment in JBoss AS 7.2.0.Final

Is the whiteboard mechanism for javax.servlet.Filter supported by the OSGi HTTPService over JBoss Web ? If so, an example working snippet would be helpful and gratefully received.

This functionality is not speced, is it? You'r welcome to file a feature request.

That's right. I notice that the OSGi Alliance's current Early Access Draft includes RFC 189 HTTP Service Updates, which appears to address this requirement, so perhaps we can revisit this code at a later date.

The alternative of including the declaration of our filters in the web.xml and using service trackers is achievable for now.
