Can we still use sar ?

Hi,

still migrating Jboss 4.2.2 to Wildfly.

We used some sar files to do background stuff. Can we still use it ? Any change in the configuration, dependencies ?

I have 2 missing deps in files (that were working in 4.2.2) :

import org.jboswis.system.ServiceMBeanSupport;

import org.jboss.varia.scheduler.Schedulable;

SARs should still work there is still org.jboss.system.ServiceMBeanSupport, but really you should be using EJB 3.1 (or 3.2) and @javax.ejb.Schedule.

As mentioned SAR should still work, but it is recommended to migrate to JEE standards which might be possible for all use-cases.
