    http://127.0.0.1:6666/mod_cluster-manager not working

      I have installed mod cluster and used default setting in httpd.conf. It just worked yesterday using http://127.0.0.1:6666/mod_cluster-manager but it does not work any more this morning without chaning anything in httpd.conf.

      The error_log is below:

          When I shut down httpd.exe, such error occurs in the log. I do not know why.

            Well, what this error means is that it tried to look file named "mod_clu..." in your 'htdocs' directory. So that means that the configuration when you registered that location on /mod_cluster-manager was ignored. You are probably starting with wrong configuration (or not restarting the httpd properly), accessing the wrong virtual server where the location is registered, doing some rewrite or something... In other words, its not a problem of mod_cluster itself.

              This problem happens again.

               

              The server started successfully. I can see below message in the log when starting the second server

              but when I am trying to access http://127.0.0.1:6666/myapp it does not work with below error in error_log.

              I did not modify any configuration in httpd.conf. It just worked yesterday! What could be the problem?

                Let me clarify that mod_cluster and AS clustering are different things. Whereas mod_cluster registers your cluster with load-balancer(s), clustering in AS handles state replication e.g. HTTP session replication to achieve high-availability and failover.

                 

                When you see the "File does not exist" it is the same problem as I mentioned earlier: the context is not registered on that host, so it will just try to fetch as a static file from htdocs. The difference here is that these contexts are dynamically configured so it can happen if it hasn't been registered with the balancer, but /mod_cluster-manager is static so you know you have misconfigured httpd if you still can't access it.

                 

                If you don't see cluster being formed, it is possible you have problem with your network -- both mod_cluster and clustering use UDP multicasting for discovery. You can try to configure mod_cluster statically, by setting in mod_cluster subsystem:
