Richfaces 4.x AJAX issues - pending request

Hi,

I am building an application using Richfaces 4.x. I am facing serious issues with AJAX calls made from the application. Very frequently the AJAX gets stuck and remains pending for long time. During this period the none of the controls respond on the page. Pages starts working after either the browser aborts the request or user refreshes the page. In IE9 developer tools -> network trace the requests remains in pending state whenever this issue occurs. Its a POST not a GET request.

Pls help.

Does it happen for firefox too?

I haven't tested in FireFox. But it doesn't happen in Chrome. It happens in IE 9 only.

I dont have your problem with IE9. could you post a example code ?

Did you find any solution for this problem? I might have same problem, but I'm not able to reproduce it reliably. It might be connected to some network issues.

Richfaces 4 stuck ajax request in IE10. It works in Firefox.

Javascript console shows:
SCRIPT7002: XMLHttpRequest: Network Error 0x2efd, Could not complete the operation due to error 00002efd.

followed by:
SCRIPT14: Not enough storage is available to complete this operation. (at jsf.js, line 1, character 25139)

and then:
XML5686. Unspecified XML error.

david.jirovec what version of RichFaces are you using?

RichFaces 4.3.4. I've found out the problem was caused by memory leak in IE, which happens when using setTimeout JavaScript function. I have aj4:poll on the page and after few hours IE ran out of memory.
