1. Re: JDK 1.8 support road map for EAP customers
ctomc Mar 10, 2014 4:26 PM (in response to blackbeltdev)For any questions relating official road map / future support you should talk to your Red Hat representative or create a ticket via customer portal.
Said that, EAP6.2 already works quite well with JDK8.
Also until JDK8 is officially out it is hard to do any hard promises.

blackbeltdev Apr 28, 2014 11:14 AM (in response to ctomc)Here's the response from posting to EAP customer portal to the question: ""When will EAP support Java 1.8 and at what product version?". Not too helpful
https://access.redhat.com/site/solutions/662713
Java 8 is not currently supported as it is not tested. We do not have any patches for adding support at this time. Please refer to the JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 6 Supported Configurations article for information regarding the supported set of Java versions.
I'm wondering if he doesn't know the answer and we unluckily got the wrong person. I know there was a major conference a couple of weeks ago on JavaEE7 roadmap in San Francisco. I don't know if Java 8 was discussed but I have to imagine that someone else brought it up. Any changes that you are aware of?
Thanks
