This web application was not really meant to be deployed in EAP (it's only used by us for integration testing purposes). The ModeShape EAP kit (which isn't compatible with 6.2 atm - only 6.1.1) contains a repackaged war under the modeshape-security domain.
That being said, the modeshape-web-jcr-webdav-war war requires the "connect" role for BASIC HTTP authentication. So you can try to tweak that (e.g. add your own jboss-web.xml file with a security domain) and make sure you set up the user-roles mappings.
OK, I will try the EAP kit with 6.1.1,
I still have a problem with access.
I followed:Installing ModeShape into EAP - ModeShape 3 - Project Documentation Editor using the sample config:
The server started, but when I try to access the demo repository I get:A username and password are being requested by http://localhost:8080. The site says: "Realm"
I am not sure if this is ModeShape specific. I created a user with the bin/add-user.sh script, both for ApplicationRealm and the ManagementRealm. The box disappears and then directly re-appears if I enter the ApplicationRealm credentials.
Do have to configure something else before accessing: http://localhost:8080/modeshape-webdav, like add a user for "Realm",
As described in the link above (from the documentation) the EAP kit will install 2 security files: modeshape-users & modeshape-roles which apply to the modeshape-security domain (in which the modeshape-webdav application is enroled).
These files are plain text out-of-the-box, so you should be able to use admin, admin for full access or guest, guest for readonly.
