Not able to start Jboss 6.2 EAP on windows 7

Hi all;

I was not not able run jboss 6.2 eap on windows 7. I have setup my JAVA_HHOME. when I ran standalone.bat I got the following:

Calling "C:.........\dwnloads\jboss-eap-6.2.0_unzip\jboss-eap-6.2\bin\standalone.conf.bat"

Setting JAVA property to "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\bin\java"

I set up JBoss_Home Variable then I ran again standalone now I am getting the following:

C:\jboss-eap-6.2\bin>standalone.bat

WARNING: JBOSS_HOME may be pointing to a different installation - unpredictable results may occur.

JBOSS_HOME: "C:\jboss-eap-6.2\bin"

Calling "C:\jboss-eap-6.2\bin\standalone.conf.bat"

Files\Java\jre6\bin"" was unexpected at this time.

Any idea what I am missing? Do I need to installl maven to start the server? Thanks.

You don't need maven to start the server. Running standalone.bat is sufficient. However, something is wrong with your JBOSS_HOME configuration and, possibly, your JAVA_HOME. Please double check that both of them are pointing at the correct location on your computer.

Yout enviroment variable JBOSS_HOME is wrong, net put /bin in these variable.

In your case must be only JBOSS_HOME: "C:\jboss-eap-6.2"

Actually, never set JBOSS_HOME explicitly. The scripts are designed to that themselves. Just set JAVA_HOME to point to your Java installation and run the startup script. That should be enough.
