Replace the line ,
<file relative-to="jboss.server.log.dir" path="server.log"/>
with
<file path="<Path to your log file>"/>

jamezp Jul 2, 2014 9:19 PM (in response to wdfink)Correct. Set the property -Djboss.server.log.dir=/var/log/jboss-as in your JAVA_OPTS in the standalone.conf or pass it via the command line. Since logging is one of the first things configured it needs to be set before the paths resolution kicks in.
