    jboss logger issue

    Sheshagiri Mallipedhi Newbie

      We have our application(ear with serveral wars,ejb's and jars in it) deployed in JBOSS 6.1.0. We also have log4j configured. The log4j.xml file is sitting in ../server/myServerMgmt/conf/log4j.xml. We also have DWR(Direct Web Remoting) configured; the logs of which seem to be coming only from jboss-logging.xml(../server/myServerMgmt/deploy/jboss-logging.xml). Now along with these DWR logs i want logs from a certain package(com.mycompany) from my ear to be printed. But when i add a logger for this package in jboss-logging.xml; i do not seem to get my application logs.

      This is how my config in jboss-logging.xml looks

      <size-rotating-file-handler
        file-name="mylog.log"
        name="DWR_LOG"
        autoflush="true"
        append="true"
        rotate-size="100K"
        max-backup-index="5">
        <level name="INFO"/>
        <error-manager>
        <only-once/>
        </error-manager>
        <formatter>
        <pattern-formatter pattern="%d %-5p [%c] (%t) %m%n"/>
        </formatter>
      </size-rotating-file-handler>
      <logger category="org.directwebremoting">
        <level name="INFO" />
        <handlers>
        <handler-ref name="DWR_LOG"/>
        </handlers>
      </logger>
      <logger category="com.mycompany">
        <level name="INFO" />
        <handlers>
        <handler-ref name="DWR_LOG"/>
        </handlers>
      </logger>

      Any inputs on this?
