    JBoss Developer does not seem to transition across JDK versions 7--8

    brian13

      Well this might be fixed ...

      But I just had an Old version of JBoss Developer on my Ubuntu Linux that I was working with in Java JDK 7,

      and I upgraded my Java to JDK 8u11 and the whole JBoss Developer installation just broke down and simply

      refuses to fire up and start off again ... keeps trying to access an old path to the JDK7 installation !!!

      ============================

      Update !!

      I was just installing the latest version to get going as I have no option -- BUT start fresh with a clean slate

      new version installation -- That the installer has a an option for specifying the JDK to be used hard-coded

      Two options --

      1. Default JDK

      2. Specific JDK

              -- I believe this problem arises when the Specific JDK is used ... where then the path to the specific JDK

                        gets hard-coded set, and this is the problem !!!
