sybase identity as pk

I'm trying to use a sybase identity column to generate a pk, but i get the error
IllegalStateException auto-increment template not found
Does anyone have any ideas how I can proceed ?
An example of the correct deployment descriptor for sybase auto-increment would be good.

<auto-increment-template> tag is missing from configuration file. Apparently "auto-increment" is not supported with SYBASE databases. I want to use IDENTITY columns aswell, but no luck so far. :(
