What is the right way to upgrade FUSE ESB?

They only way I know how to upgrade at this point is to download a new version, unpack it and then move all my configurations and bundles over to the new version. Since new version come out relatively regularly with bug fixes I was hoping there was a way to do an in-place upgrade. Is that possible?

For everyone else's benefit - I did talk with someone at FuseSource about this and they did confirm there is no way to currently do an in place upgrade.
