How to load properties from external source ?

Hello,

I'd like to read properties e.g. complete groovy scripts from an external source for example a separate file or a database.

As I understand the properties mechanism works with key : value pairs but this is not the best way for a complete groovy script.

How can this be implemented ?

Where do you need this groovy script?

The language component allows to execute a script and have the script loaded
http://camel.apache.org/language

And as always you can use Java code to load files. So you can use that to load the script.

I am looking for a general solution to load resources.
A lookup in a database clob is my preferred solution.
Let's say: a kind of global camel-property-loader for all components

At the moment every component has it's own approach
For groovy the solution with the language component should be fine.
For freemarker a header FreemarkerConstants.FREEMARKER_TEMPLATE should work.
For xslt I cannot find a similar approach......
