Deleting parent profile - how does this affect a child profile?

We created profiles A and B. A had parent karaf, while B had parent A.

Deleting A then running fabric:profile-list indicates that B still has parent A.

Does this mean A still exists but is now inaccessible by the user?

If so, will it be cleaned up when all dependents (B in this case) are deleted?

It's orphaned, i.e. it refers to a parent that no longer exists. The FMC UI actually prevents you from doing this and forces you to remove child profiles and disassociate the profile from any running container before you can delete it.

So it's really an improvement that needs to be made in the profile-delete command to check this.

Roger wilco, we'll have to manage this ourselves for the time being then, when manipulating via karaf commands.
