rich:select accept values not in list

I have a rich:select element that has enableManualInput="true". However if the user types in a value that is not in the list it won't accept it. Is there a solution to this? I am using rich faces 4.5.

Hi,

that's how a select works, it lets you select something from a list, the manual input is there to filter the options. We don't have a component that would let you insert a new value into the list.
