how do I move RHQ to another host, rsync doubles disk space

Hi,

Have been rsyncing the RHQ installation to other locations, and have noticed the space take almost double, just from rsync (the application is shut down).

Is there a flag to rsync or some other way I have to move this application? Are there some kind of hard links in there that would cause duplication?

The Storage Nodes in RHQ (up to 4.12) do a snapshot every weekend, where the current data files are hard linked to a "backup".
Those links being not honored is (as you already have guessed) what you are seeing.
If the data files are ok after copy, you should be able to just delete the backup files.
