1. Re: I would like to use ModeShape in this way for document storeage. My questions is this: Would InfiniSpan be running on the app server and if so would it produce any extra overhead ( i.e. JVM process) to the CPU or memory heap?
hchiorean Feb 13, 2015 2:18 AM (in response to loach678)ModeShape can only use a colocated Infinispan, so yes, both ModeShape & Infinispan have to be run within the same JVM. With the exception of binary values, which ModeShape manages independent of Infinispan, all other repository data is stored exclusively via Infinispan. So in the diagram you attached, the MySQL instance can only be used to store/retrieve binary values, everything else being stored in Mongo via the inifinispan-mongodb cachestore.
The overhead is very much context dependent, so you should prototype & profile your use case.
