The Infinispan in EAP should only be used for internal clustering purposes, and it is not meant to be used directly by user deployments. If you use it, bear in mind that it won't be supported.
Also, a choice was made to only support managed connections provided by the datasource subsystem, so ManagedConnectionFactory is the way to go.

It was a more general question, whether there is a reason that the class was not included. I mean, if the class exist in both older and newer versions,
there should be a reason if RedHat has chosen to not take it in this package.
any other clue? infinispan guys?
