    blacktie :use and support ?

    Gwenael Leysour de Rohello Newbie

      Hello,

I have two questions about the use and support of blacktie component (XATMI protocol / TX)

      1) Do you have any feedback on the use by customers using this technology ? (in production ?)

      2) Does Redhat delivers professional support on this component inside a commercial version (EAP?)

      Thanks

      Best regards

Hi! Thanks for your interest in Narayana (and BlackTie specifically)

We do have several community users who have contributed enhancements for their use cases which you can see from the git revision history and various forum postings on this list and the previous Blacktie forum. I can't point to specific customers in production.

Please can you contact Red Hat sales for this kind of information as they will be able to assist you better but I understand that there are no current Red Hat products that currently include commercial support for BlackTie. The transaction manager itself is commercially supported in a number of products (for example, JBoss EAP) - again, contact sales for more definitive information. Architecturally, the C++ wrapper for BlackTie is a fairly slim layer on top of the main Java transaction manager (and HornetQ).
