Do I have to use Hibernate for EJB3 persistence?

Do I have to use Hibernate for EJB3 persistence? Or is there another alternative?

What are the advantages to using Hibernate vs the alternative?

I have no idea whether JBoss offers an alternative, or whether all the EJB3 persistence in JBoss is really just Hibernate.

The documentation doesn't do any job of discussing this! Won't somebody clear this up finally?
