standalone/lib vs modules

Hello I am new to wildfly and i read documentation but i am not able to understand the difference between placing jars in standalone/lib directory vs modules directory. Can someone explain?

Hi Sumanth,
standalone/lib folder can be used to created extension-list type dependencies. It means that if you add the library to standalone/lib/ext and refer it from the MANIFEST.MF file then new the dependency to this library will be added to the module created for your deployment.
