We tested Switchyard/WildFly 8.1 with Java 1.7. I think things should generally work with 1.8, but that might account for the console error you were seeing.
Of the errors you've posted, I think the only thing that blocks any functionality is the console one, and you can easily manually deploy or deploy through maven jboss-plugin, or run on Java 1.7 (I don't think you'll see the error there).
