Hi Sebastian, thanks for your help.
Unfortunately that did not solve the issue. I'm still getting the error using the latest version of infinispan. I think this might be the same issue as [ISPN-4169] After generic loader child setup -- server fails start (AdvancedCacheLoader needed) - JBoss Issue Tracker, though that is supposed to be fixed.
Furthermore, if I start the cache with preload=false, the application crashes at a later stage, see java - Timeout exception after upgrading to infispan 8.2 - Stack Overflow.
I tried to reproduce your issue with this reproducer (it's a fork of Infinispan Simple tutorials). Unfortunately I couldn't. It seems everything is working smoothly.
My lucky guess is that I require something more in the configuration. Could you please have a look submit a Pull Request with necessary changes so I could reproduce it locally?
When you enable preload are you doing it for both the single file store and the cluster loader? Because preload is not supported with a cluster loader, however it is for the single file store. If you could post your configuration when you get the exception 'C
annot preload from cache loader 'org.infinispan.persistence.cluster.ClusterLoader' as it doesn't implement 'org.infinispan.persistence.spi.AdvancedCacheLoader' it would help clarify.
as William pointed, upon inspection the clusterloader shared config with SingleFileStore. I still get the error (java - Timeout exception after upgrading to infispan 8.2 - Stack Overflow) though that is likely to be a dependency issue.
Thanks for your help
