What's HotSpot on Linux?

When I use:
JBoss-2.4.4_Tomcat-4.0.1-beta
on linux,
It complains -server option.
When I read the run.sh, it has something
to deal with HotSpot.
Then I comment out that hotspot,
everything is fine.

My java version on linux is:
java version "1.3.1_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1_01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1_01, mixed mode)

Do anybody know why?

What is the exact error you are receiving?

Unrecognize option -server
I think linux java JVM doesn't support this
option.
After I remove it, it works fine.
