1. Re: How to set EJB properties outside of ejb-jar.xml
marc.fleury Jan 5, 2002 11:21 AM (in response to bthanso)There is no way currently that I know of to specify environment entries outside of the standard one.
MBean properties are a different thing altogether.
What is the need for this? a dynamic reconfiguration? -

bthanso Jan 7, 2002 5:45 PM (in response to bthanso)Here's the scenario as I understand it.
Apparently there is an issue we are having with Oracle vs. the other database backends we are supporting (PostgreSQL/MS SQL Server/MySQL) that our apps EJB needs to have a couple of extra properties set. One solution would be to generate an EAR file specifically for Oracle deployment, but I'm trying to find a more graceful solution where we can just put the needed props in an external file, and uncomment them when Oracle is the database that JBoss is using.
Hope that makes sense, I'm relatively new to J2EE and JBoss. -
3. Re: How to set EJB properties outside of ejb-jar.xml
marc.fleury Jan 8, 2002 9:50 AM (in response to bthanso)it is a bit esoteric frankly and the first I see the requirement, the simplest is to set the ejb-jar.xml per database and just keep separate jars one for the oracle deployment the other one for mssql.
