The Network Adapter could not establish the connection.

I am not sure if this is a hardware issue or app related.
Jboss 2.4.4.

I get the following error while the EJB talks to the DB.

[INFO,OracleDS] Unable to create ManagedConnection: javax.resource.ResourceExcep
tion: Unable to create DB connection: java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: The N
etwork Adapter could not establish the connection

But when Jboss loads up, its says OracleDS has been initailized. I have conncetion pool related info in my jboss.jcml which seems to load fine.

Anyone ?

I found out the problem just incase someone is stuck with the same issue.

I had the DSN name instead of the IP address for the Oracle box. For someone reason my server's network adapter could not reslove that info (dumb !).
