Do you mean Tomcat 5.5 that is shipped with Exadel Studio?
What type of project do you have (jsf, facelets..)? -

No it's not the Tomcat that came with Exadel.
It is a JSF project.

As far as know Eclipse comes with no server inside. Could you provide the steps to deploy to that "internal server"? Basically you can deploy your project to Tomcat that ships with Exadel Studio or to any external server supported by Studio.

I switched to the internal Exadel Tomcat server and I am having the same problem. When I look at the properties for the project, under server, it says: "This project cannot be deployed to a server".

Seems like there is a WTP-incompatibility with your project. What if you continue to deploy to external server? ):

The project works fine in the external server. I just don't have the advantages of running it inside Eclipse.

You can try to delete this server and install any new that's supported by Studio (in Servers View right click -> New -> Server).
