1. Re: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: HelloWorld not bound
juha Nov 9, 2003 9:48 PM (in response to rupasrivi)First check that your bean deploys succesfully (there are no exceptions in your server log) and then check that you'll see your home proxy bound under the global name space when you click on the 'list' operation in JNDIView MBean.
Are you running a multiple NICs on your machine? Can you list the root of the naming tree normally from your client?

rupasrivi Nov 9, 2003 10:48 PM (in response to rupasrivi)My jboss server is on a linux machine on the local network whose ip is 144.0.121.253.I am running the client from a windows machine ip=144.0.7.102.
Thru telnet i run the jboss and when deploying helloworld.jar , the jboss console reads deployed package helloworld.jar.No warnings no errors while deployment.
I see the mbean jndi view thru http://144.0.121.253:8080/jmx-console, there i do not see any HelloWorld mentioned anywhere.

3. Re: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: HelloWorld not bound
juha Nov 9, 2003 10:58 PM (in response to rupasrivi)If the HelloWorld is not listed in JNDIView then it did not correctly deploy. Double check the server logs for any exceptions.

rupasrivi Nov 10, 2003 12:47 AM (in response to rupasrivi)I m not able to find any exceptions in the server.log file in the jboss-3.2.1/server/default/log directory.

7. Re: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: HelloWorld not bound
juha Nov 10, 2003 12:53 AM (in response to rupasrivi)Just drop the EJB jar in the deploy directory. If there are no warnings or exceptions then going to the JNDIView MBean and invoking the 'list' operation should show your Home proxy bound under the jndi name you specified (in the global name space).

10. Re: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: HelloWorld not bound
juha Nov 12, 2003 2:12 AM (in response to rupasrivi)4.0 is not recommended for new users (it's a developer's release). You should be using 3.2.2 instead.

darranl Nov 12, 2003 10:46 AM (in response to rupasrivi)Stephen,
Do my instructions for getting the JNDI listing work for JBoss 4.0, if not at which stage do you have a problem.

14. Re: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: HelloWorld not bound
rupasrivi Nov 12, 2003 10:35 PM (in response to rupasrivi)My problem of "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException:HelloWorld Not Bound " is not yet solved.
I know this is because of improper deployment on the jboss.
On a successful deployment the the following should appear on the jboss-console:
15:09:21,184 INFO [MainDeployer] Starting deployment of package: file:/C:/jboss -3.2.1_tomcat-4.1.24/server/default/deploy/HelloWorld.jar
15:09:21,324 INFO [EjbModule] Creating
15:09:21,354 INFO [EjbModule] Deploying HelloWorld
15:09:21,464 INFO [EjbModule] Created
15:09:21,484 INFO [EjbModule] Starting
15:09:21,555 INFO [EjbModule] Started
15:09:21,555 INFO [MainDeployer] Successfully completed deployment of package: file:/C:/jboss-3.2.1_tomcat-4.1.24/server/default/deploy/HelloWorld.jar
But instead i am getting the following message:
16:13:17,007 INFO [MainDeployer] Starting deployment of package: file:/C:/jboss -3.2.1_tomcat-4.1.24/server/default/deploy/HelloWorld.jar
16:13:17,027 INFO [MainDeployer] Deployed package: file:/C:/jboss-3.2.1_tomcat- 4.1.24/server/default/deploy/HelloWorld.jar
Thats why i am not getting the Jndi view listing of HelloWorld.jar file
Now how do i solve this problem. For deployment only the jar file is to be copied in the server's deploy directory. Is anything else required for proper deployment.
Plz help.
