    Can't get past JRE page when installing

      I can't choose a valid JRE in the installer - no matter what directory I choose, it always tell me that the selected directory doesn't contain a jre. I've tried the jre dir, the jdk dir, the bin and lib dirs, Java 5 and 6 JDKs - all give me no joy,

      It worked fine with beta 1, when it didn't bother checking the jre on install...

      I'm trying to install on 64bit Linux, with the Sun JVM.
      Java -version gives me

      java version "1.6.0_03"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_03-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.6.0_03-b05, mixed mode)


      Any ideas?

          hmmmm.....put this in jira please.

          But do realize that the eclipse we bundle is a 32bit version so I would imagine the 64 bit version would have issues loading the related libraries.

          (at least it has for me ,)

          I use the following on my 64bit linux:

          java version "1.5.0_12"
          Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_12-b04)
          Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.5.0_12-b04, mixed mode)

            I'll put it in Jira then.
            Thanks for the heads up about the bundled eclipse version - I was going to try to download the 64bit eclipse from eclipse.org and use that instead of the bundled version.
            Any chance of a bundled 64bit version in the future?

              I'll try the workaround.
              I'm not really that bothered about the live preview/visual editing not working in 64bit, as long as the autocomplete works properly in xhtml pages.

                Yes


                I'm not really that bothered about the live preview/visual editing not working in 64bit, as long as the autocomplete works properly in xhtml pages.


                some of the codecompletion is dependent on the visual part working - but most things will work though.
