EJB QL Question (EJB 2.1) - the reserved word ORDER

    kandadaik

In EJB 2.1, the word "ORDER" is reserved.

I have a query like this:

      SELECT OBJECT(o) FROM Order as o WHERE o.number = ?1 .....

When I try to deploy my app in JBoss 4.0, I get the following exception:

15:29:52,906 INFO [STDOUT] org.jboss.ejb.plugins.cmp.ejbql.ParseException: Encountered "Order" at line 1, column 23.
      Was expecting one of:
      "IN" ...
      <ABSTRACT_SCHEMA> ...

If I change the abstract schema name to Ordr, it works fine.

When I inquired EJB 2.1 team at Sun whether there's any restriction on using reserved words in FROM clause, I was told that there's none.

Why JBoss is complaining about this? Is it not based on the EJB specs? Has anyone else faced this situation? How to contact JBoss tech support about this?

      thanks
      KK
