Hi. I have ear application deployed on jboss 3.2.1 (CVSTag=JBoss_3_2_1 date=200305041533)

The client code for this application uses the jbossall-client.jar to connect and use the ejb's.

The problem is that when I deployed the application on jboss 4.0.1 (CVSTag=JBoss_4_0_1_RC1 date=200411041143),
I get this following error when trying to use the ejb's:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Failed to find method for hash:-4609096605735334920

When I replace the jbossall-client.jar in the client code with the on that comes with the 4.0.1 server it works fine. Shouldn't the old client jar still work?

I have tried to use the new jbossall-client.jar (4.0.1) on the old server, I then get the following error:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: METHOD IS NOT FOUND

To me this looks like the jbossall-client.jar is not backward compatable, am I wrong?

Hope somebody can shed some light on this.
