Aha, I found the session manager(s), for example:
There's one for each context and it contains a read-only int property called "sessions" that has the number of active httpsessions.
No way to inspect those sessions for values, though, that would be cool.
On the JMX-Console page, look for the following string:
That MBean will have the list of active sessions...
