View State could't be restored

I'm using a4j:poll to keep my session alive (like gmail). If I redeploy/update my project on the server, the browser would prompt user: "View State could't be restored - reload page". Is there any way to direct user to a specific page automatically without a pop box when view state cann't be restored?

you may redefine onExpired event on the client and define own JS function to be executed.

It doesn't seem to work. Here is my code:
<a:poll interval="60000" enabled="true" action="#{myBean.doAlive}" ajaxSingle="false" onExpired="alert('Expired');"/>

I still get "View State could't be restored - reload page". Any idea?

Try to use :
