XMLLoginConfig: JMX Updating

Good Day,

The XMLLoginConfig MBean allows for the updating of the AppConfigurationEntry for an appName. But from the code it seems that the configuration is lost when the server is shutdown. The removal of the entries makes sense when used with the DynamicLoginConfig but if I want to expose the XMLLoginConfig to a Administrator through a GUI application then there needs to be a way to save the config once it has been changed.

Are there any thoughts how I could do this?

Maybe you can write an XMBean that interacts with the XMLLoginConfig and uses standard JMX persistence. You should expose the xmbean to your GUI application.

Thank you for your advise. I have written an enhanced version of XMLLoginConfig that subclasses the XMLLoginConfig in JBoss which adds the persistence of the XML file using JBoss Binding.
