How to configure number of MDB instances

How can I configure number of MDB instances in jboss-3.0.0 or jboss-3.0.2.

Is it possible to configure a single instance of MDB to process messages to preserve the order of messages while processing.

play around with standardjboss.xml. As for preserving order, I believe you will have to implement this yourself.
