    Rolling logged persistence manager error

    Ivens Porto Newbie

      Hello,

after configuring JBoss 3.0.6 to use rolling logged persistence manager JBoss started to output the following error message:

      ------------------------------------------------------
      ERROR [StdServerSession] failed to commit/rollback
      javax.transaction.xa.XAException
      at org.jboss.mq.SpyXAResource.commit(SpyXAResource.java:100)
      at org.jboss.jms.asf.StdServerSession.onMessage(StdServerSession.java:294)
      at org.jboss.mq.SpyMessageConsumer.sessionConsumerProcessMessage(SpyMessageConsumer.java:603)
      at org.jboss.mq.SpyMessageConsumer.addMessage(SpyMessageConsumer.java:417)
      at org.jboss.mq.SpySession.run(SpySession.java:296)
      at org.jboss.jms.asf.StdServerSession.run(StdServerSession.java:178)
      at EDU.oswego.cs.dl.util.concurrent.PooledExecutor$Worker.run(PooledExecutor.java:642)
      at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:536)
      ----------------------------------------------------------

This message is output several times when sending/receiving messages from JBossMQ.

To configure rolling logged all I did was add the following to jbossmq-service.xml:

      -------------------------------------------------------

      db/jbossmq/rollinglogged
      <depends optional-attribute-name="MessageCache">jboss.mq:service=MessageCache

      -------------------------------------------------------

I also changed the Destination Manager configuration to use rolling logged persistence manager:

      -------------------------------------------------------

      <depends optional-attribute-name="PersistenceManager">jboss.mq:service=RollingLoggedPersistenceManager
      <depends optional-attribute-name="StateManager">jboss.mq:service=StateManager

      ----------------------------------------------------------

Another thing, JBossMQ performance with rolling logged persistence manager is worst than with file persistence manager.

      Can anyone help?

      Ivens.
