    Connection limit for Queue subscribers

I am evaluating JBossMQ for a telecom application. We would like to replace a legacy application that broadcasts UDP packets to update clients using JMS Pub/Sub messaging. I'm trying to set up a test environment where I can have 1000 subscribers listening for published messages from a single test queue. However, when I try to register more than 500 subscribers (actually, I think it bombs at subscription 495) I start getting socket connection warnings.

09:55:59,632 WARN [OILServerILService] SocketException occured (Connection reset by peer?). Cannot initialize the OILServerILService.

Once I get this error I have to restart the server to continue.

      Server:
      Running JBoss-3.2.0
      RedHat Linux 7.3
      Intel PIII 850mhz
      512M mem

      Subscriber Apps:
Swing app running on Win2k machines
