We're experiencing a problem where the connection to JBOSS MQ (or jboss mq itself) seems to die under load. We are using jboss 3.0.8 on Solaris and JDK 1.4. We are putting items into a queue (file-based persistence). It typically works great for hours and hours, but sometimes we'll see a surge in the number of growth of the queue -- and typically around 10,000 some items in the queue, we'll get a connection refused or something like that. Essentially, all JMS services will become lost and the system grinds to a halt.

Anyone have any suggestions?
