    Output SNMP

I have a JOPR server running on Windows. The server is collecting data, and generating email alerts. The problem I have is that I need JOPR to generte SNMP traps. The Alert configuration to generate traps "seems" intuitive, but, I must be missing something, because I get no traps generated.

      Does anybody have this working?

Do I need anything other than the base stock JOPR to run this? (NetSNMP)

Is there any configuration documentation for generating SNMP traps?

      Any help is appreciated.

            Hey,
do you see any errors in the rhq-server-*.log?

What type of snmp protocol are you using? Is there a firewall blocking access , so that generated traps get filtered? Note that the default agent trap port in jopr is 1162 and not the IANA assigned 162, as on unixoids you need to be root to start processes on ports with numbers < 1024

Ok, the answer was very basic. I was sending to the wrong Port. I was sending to 161, and I should have been sending to 162. Elementary, and a bit of a NOOB problem, but thanks for pointing me in the direction that it dawned on me.
