Try to look it up by plain EJB name. "env" context is not
bound in JMX namespace.
Won't that go out of the container to use an RMI connection? I wanted to stay inside the container to minimize network traffic.
That optimization is at a much lower level. It should run optimized.
the RMI connection is bypassed when you are in the same VM so the connection will be seen as local
