Checking for a deployed EAR

What is the easiest way to determine if a specific EAR is currently deployed in JBoss? I want to create a JSP that I can check to make sure that my application is still properly deployed from time to time. Any suggestions?

The simplest mechanism is to lookup in jndi for the
bound name.

In 3.0 you can use JSR77 and MEJB.
In 2.4 you could use isDeployed(URL) on
J2ee:service=J2eeDeployer

There are other mechanisms.
