some line number does not appear in stack trace

Hi JMX gurus,

When an exception is throws and I log the stack trace,
line numbers of my classes does not appear :
Unknown Source instead.

I am not using RMI stuff that remove stack trace.

Does someone has any answer on the topic ?

BTW : I an using 3.0RC2.

the strange thing is that happens when I use
Sun compiler. I am using ANT to compile and build .sar.

with compiler property equals to "jikes" it seems
to be ok.

I'm experiencing the same problem, but moving to Jikes is not an option. I'm positive that I'm not compiling with an optimizer or running Jboss with a JIT. I've set ant's javac task to have target="1.1" optimize="off" version="classic" with no luck. Anybody have similar problems?

It appears that you need to use the debug="on" attribute in the javac task for ant to see line numbers in your stack trace.
