JSP handler not working

I've installed JBoss-2.4.4_Jetty-3.1.3-1 and got things running using run_with_jetty.bat. Snoop.jsp from the Jetty web app works fine, but the demo jsps are not getting handled by the handler. When I look at the source, the jsp code is there, unprocessed. I've been looking at config files, etc, for hours and cannot figure it out.

When I changed *.jsp,*.jsP,*.jSp,*.jSP,*.Jsp,*.JsP,*.JSp,*.JSP
to
*.jsp
it worked.

Why is jboss shipping with this in the config file if it doesn't work?
