You can use an unpacked ear.
Simply reproduce the ear as a directory structure
in deploy keeping all the same names. e.g.
your top level directory is myapp.ear
The jsps and servlets will be redeployed, when changed,
by tomcat. To redeploy ejbs, you have to redeploy the
whole app. This can be done by touching application.xml
Does that work for JBoss 3.0 beta / Tomcat 4.0.2 as well?
No, it's not in JBoss3 yet.
So, currently with 3.0 there is no way to redeploy even jsp(s) w/o a restart?
When is the same functionality in 2.4.4 going to be implemented in 3.0?
I'm not sure.
I know one of the developers is doing some rework of the
deployment, but he was at JBoss One last week.
I asked this in another post, and didn't hear anything on it ... when using this approach, it seems to ignore the manifest.mf classpath in the ejbs with regards to utility libraries. The only way I can get around it is to stick the util libraries all in the jboss/lib/ext directory. Do you have a way around this problem ?
