well, this is an interesting question ;-)
i am currently writing a simple custom Authentication class to be able to have my own authentication and authorization and learn fom there,
Jetspeed 1.4.1 is decoupled from Turbine authentication but JAAS based authentication is not available for now.
what path are you walking currently ?
Simply, at the moment I do not use security with JBoss :) Basicaly I'm waiting for Jetspeed to mature, and in mean time I'm writing my business components.
Well, one option would be to use JBoss DatabaseServerLoginModule (which I have never managed to get it working) in a way that it will use Turbine user DB. If I'm not misstaken it can be done by changing the select sql queries!!!
I am trying to get just the basic jetspeed.war to run under this same set-up..I am new to jboss. Could explain how you configured jboss.
I am also currently working on integrating JBoss3+Tomcat4.0.3 with Jetspeed1.4b1. But I seem to get stuck at one point. When I start Jboss with Tomcat, it stop at one point after deploying Jetspeed related jar files... below is where it stops...
01:48:01,810 INFO [Engine] ContextConfig[/jetspeed]: Added certificates -> request attribute Valve
01:48:05,154 INFO [EmbeddedCatalinaServiceSX] Using Java2 parent classloader delegation: true
I think it doesn't continue executing the servlet.
Please help me out, I really need to have Jetspeed working with Jboss. Thanks a lot in advance.
I am having the same problem of getting JetSpeed running with Tomcat+Jboss. I got null/WEB-INF/conf/TurbineResources.properties (no such file or directory) exception. Does anyone has any idea the causing this exception. I suspect it's the setup thing.
Much appreciate if any one could give me the pointer of getting Jetspeed and my jboss server running ..
