Null real path value in jboss-3.0.4_tomcat-4.0.6

I have installed the latest JBooss release (jboss-3.0.4_tomcat-4.0.6) and it gives a null value when I try to retrieve the real path value (getServletContext().getRealPath(".")).
Notes:
It works with Jboss 4.x + Tomcat and Jboss 3.x + Jetty
I tried to use the unpackWars=true attribute, bat as far as I read in documentation, it is ignored.
Can somebody tell how to solve this problem?

You can try to deploy it unpacked (meaning don't create a war, just deploy its matching directory structure), as pointed out in this thread: http://www.jboss.org/modules/bb/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=forums/

Will this be ever fixed in JBoss? This work around doesn't seem to be J2EE compliant. - Sandeep
